About Us
Java Gardens was invented in 2006, owned by Martin & Claudia an American/Indonesian familly from St. Louise & Java. It is now managed by Iwan Murtiono Brown who is an ex Hotelier. Focusing in reinvented Java Culinary as well as Java and Sumatra coffee for Austin and surrounding area. We serves dinner and lunch, beside our regular Chinese Super Buffett, delivery and Catering. Since our Chef Dr.Yohanes Muljadi is a general doctor, he cooks a healthy Java meal that includes Vegetarian dishes. FYI the Austin Health Authority just award us with 96 points, incomparable with other restaurants arround us that experienced many times closed down by the health department.

Responsible for improve the shareholder value through increased profitability as well as employees’ welfare and corporate images. And develop more business units and partners.
Accomplishments:
• Developed a new luxury butler service resort, resulted a 70% timeshare model.
• Constructed 5 year business plan of 40% annual growth, achieved EBITDA of 47% in 2005
• Advised a long term meeting plan to corporate clients, sold $63 million future contracts
• Restructured & reenergized a bankrupt property, earned 35% net operating profit in 2003

Mercure Resort – Bali May 2000 – May 2002
One of the Accor property namely Novotel, Sofitel and the budget hotels Red Roof Inn. The only European base resort of 186 rooms located on a white sand and clear blue beach
Financial Controller
Analyzed and suggested a correct operation. Managed back office staffs responsible for MIS, Income Audit, Cost Control, Purchasing, Cashiering, Credit and Human Resources. Reported the business activity & financial positions to the operator & share holders. Controlled food cost at 30%, beverage cost of 15% and room cost of 12% for highly competitive hotels market.
Accomplishments:
• Zipped waste loophole using material requirement plan, that increased profitability by 10%
• Collaborated with clients, resulted in speed up Average Receivable Collection from 68 to 10 days (from $1million to $10K) that prevent interruption of service to clients
• Monitored industrial benchmark, and achieved 2% foods and utility cost under benchmark
• Ran a minimum spending at post Bali Bomb Crises, resulted a BEP at 19% occupancy
• Managed a healthy surplus, resulted lending $500K soft loan to Bali Hyatt Hotel as they faced a financial problem that was mediated by the JDC (the same property owner)
• Suggested menu from statistic analysis, had increased 80% F&B profit after 9% cutting cost
• Impressive invisible security measure, attracted Scotland-yard to occupied 360 rooms night

The Kinasih Resort (owned by Trigana) June 1997 – May 2000
A convention center in West Java with 2,300 pax seated capacity and 350 rooms resort in 3800 acres of Natural Park. It accommodates most of the political and national conventions

Responsible for the development of Sales, Finance, Food & Beverage, Room, Security, Park Activity and Engineering departments, with focusing on satisfying the guests’ expectations for successful meetings and conventions.
Accomplishments:
 Based market on local businesses that generated 56% revenue.
 Opened new hotels or restructuring & reenergizing a bankrupt hotel to be profitable
 Increased occupancy from 25% to 78% and NOP from -$0.7 million, to $5.8 million
 Upgraded quality that boosted conventions of 1000 pax minimum from 21 in ‘96 to 118 in ’99
 Establish a group dynamic for the “Full Responsibility Commitment” program and simplicity

Ciater Resort & Medical Spa Jan.1997 – June 1997
The only medical spa resort in Java provides 7 varieties submerge physiotherapy equipments and 230 rooms. Fully occupied resort’ market niche was alternative therapy seeker.

Responsible for the resort-hospital operation, included financial budgeting, managers and doctors training, increasing guest satisfaction scores and the return on investment.
Accomplishments:
 Tripled revenue by applying yield management for reservation and convention
 Increased occupancy from 48% to 73% and sold over 10,400 memberships
 Selected a redundant and latest wireless wide area network that cost less than optical model

Owned by Trigana and managed by GHM, affiliated with Aman Resort, that set a trend in the following years for boutique resort & spa with all natural and simplicity ambience

Managed back office with staffs responsible for HR, Security, Accounting, Purchasing, MIS, Credit, and related functions. Designed accounting system and implemented innovative revenue forecasting and payroll control system, and revamped Purchasing and Cost Control
